Sahara Fun
The Sahara Desert is the largest hot desert in the world, covering much of North Africa and stretching across 11 countries, including Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Chad, Mali, Niger, Sudan, Mauritania, and Western Sahara. It spans about 9 million square kilometers (3.6 million square miles) — nearly the size of the United States!
The Sahara is famous for its vast sand dunes, rocky plateaus, and extreme climate. Daytime temperatures can soar above 45°C (113°F), while nights can drop below freezing. Despite the harsh environment, the desert is full of life — home to camels, fennec foxes, desert snakes, scorpions, and resilient nomadic tribes such as the Tuareg people.
Geographically, the Sahara’s landscape is stunning and varied. It features towering sand dunes (ergs), stone plateaus (hamadas), gravel plains, and even oases like Siwa (Egypt) and Merzouga (Morocco), where life thrives around natural springs.
Culturally and historically, the Sahara has long been a crossroads for ancient trade routes, including the Trans-Saharan Caravan Routes, where gold, salt, and spices were exchanged between sub-Saharan Africa and Mediterranean civilizations.
Today, the Sahara attracts adventurous travelers for camel trekking, desert camping, and stargazing under crystal-clear skies — experiences that reveal both the beauty and mystery of this vast, timeless desert.

I cannot speak highly enough about our 3 week trip to this place and the services provided by this travel company. Everything was seamless. The private guides were interesting and knowledgable. We felt that they were more than just guides. It was like we had a friend in each city.

My fiance and I had never been to Europe, but wanted to plan a unique elopement trip to this place. We had no idea where to start, and turned to some internet research to find the services of this agency and eventually connect with the team at this travel agency. From the first email exchange, we knew that our travel consultant and her team would be our travel company.
